Recognized for her charismatic presence and versatility, Belle Ting has performed at festivals including La Folle Journée de Nantes and the Fondation Cziffra, and has collaborated with orchestras such as Sinfonia Varsovia, the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and the Odense Symphony Orchestra.

Born in Taipei, the Canadian violinist gained international recognition after winning the Grand Prix at the International Arthur Grumiaux Competition in Belgium at the age of thirteen. She subsequently received top prizes at the International Cooper Violin Competition, the International Brahms Competition, the International Isaac Stern Competition, and the International Khachaturian Competition, as well as the CARSA Rising Star Award.

 

She has performed at major venues including the Musikverein Wien and the Wiener Konzerthaus, and has been featured at festivals such as the Festival Ravel and the Verbier Festival. Her debut album, Impressions, is dedicated to French Impressionist repertoire, and her performances have been broadcast on France Musique, ORF, and Classical FM 99.7.

 

Belle has received musical guidance from artists including Leonidas Kavakos, Anne Shih, Sarah Nemtanu, Nai-Yuan Hu, Rainer Honeck, and Ivry Gitlis, who remarked: “She plays as if every piece was written for her.” She studied violin and chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and completed her Konzertexamen degree at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in the class of Eckhard Fischer.
